Lauren + Pete

I don't even know how to start this post. I don't know how to tell you about mine and Lauren's history. Not that I'm trying to steal Pete's glory or anything but me and Lauren.. well we go back. We've come a long way since our glory days filled with boating, classic rock, the gas station, drama club, and camp fires.  We've come a long way since our emo princess days filled with frozen cheesecakes, depressing mixed cds, malibu and mean girls. Yes we've come a long way from planning out our lives as old maids together. Who would have thought our luck would turn around.

If ever there was two people that were made for each other it's Lauren and Pete. No seriously. Our little group let Pete join our coffee and wine dates. Which are normally sacred events. So you know he's good people. I have been waiting... and waiting.... and waiting... and nagging Pete... and begging Pete for this. So when he finally asked me if I was free to photograph his proposal I about passed out! Lauren and Pete just bought the most adorable little house. so we walked around down town Point and then went back to their place so Pete could pop the question. During which I was hyperventilating and shaking.

I wish this photo did justice what is a fabulously large yellow diamond. bah! love!

So here we go... the cliche end of the year blog post...

seriously though.. I didn't really have anything prepared and I thought about showing you my favorites from this season but I decided I would do another personal post. 

 This year I took things a little slower. made time for myself. read a bunch of books and listened to music and spent time with friends, the kiddo, and the hubs. I feel like this year was a transitional year for me. in business and my personal life. anyway no need to get all cheesy and sentimental. here's a little look into what I did in my free time this year.

Inspired

i don't normally get all personal on the blog. but today i feel like bragging a little bit. this is my kid. she inspires me so much. she is a crazy amazing little model. she is smart. like knows more about dinosaurs than i do smart. she is funny. like super hilarious. she says stuff like "well there goes the neighborhood" and when someone says the word "scat" she comes back with "scat a lat a bee bop". she is super cool. like she jams out to the rolling stones and of monsters and men with me. she loves stuff like spiderman and cars and dinos and the guitar and the zombies from paranorman. i know all kids are special. but this kid. my kid. she's something else. she inspires more than anything or anyone else. 

did i mention she has like the best hair ever?

when i asked her what she wanted to be for halloween she said "an old black river cat"

these next few we took this afternoon after she told me she wants to be a rock star
