Dan & Bobbie

oh this wedding! where to start?
adorable details, uh-mazing location, and super sweet couple.
Dan was our high school science teacher, drama director, and track coach. So we have known him for years. When he told me he was getting married I tried to imagine what his fiance would be like. but Bobbie was nothing what we expected. She was sweet. And she mellows Dan out (slightly). She is the perfect balance for him and it is easy to see why he loves her. Seriously! most laid back bride ever! We showed up on their wedding day at a small bed and breakfast in Prescott. It was nothing like most wedding days. There was no frazzled bride. Just calm sweet Bobbie ready to do whatever we wanted her to do. like change into her dress an hour before she had planned and walk around outside the bed and breakfast barefoot. We are so so so happy that Dan and Bobbie chose us to be a part of their special day. We had a blast with them! and as an added bonus it was like a mini high school reunion. We had a blast and have been waiting to share these images.

I seriously wanted to live at the Arbor Inn!

Bobbie- you are beautiful!!!

I was a little bit obsessed with Bobbie's flowers <3

I think this is my favorite...

Bobbie wrote Dan a note the morning of the wedding letting him know that the bridal party didn't have to wear shoes... and if you know Dan Booth then you know that that's a big deal :)

This was their getaway car! rawr!

croquet?? yes please!

Sparkler sendoff? check!

Dan & Bobbie- you two were fabulous! thank you for letting us capture your wedding day. it was perfect.

Ashley & Peter- Engaged

A while back we had a little contest where couples e-mailed us telling about how they met or romantic stories they had together. We really wanted to give this free shoot to someone we thought was our ideal client. And after reading through tons of adorable stories from fabulous people we were stuck. We were still looking for that couple who truly got what we were about and who we could really connect with. We were still waiting for one of those couples we are tailored for.
And then I got this e-mail. From a guy named Peter.

Peter and Ashley met at a mutual friend's Labor Day party. After which Ashley swore to her friends that she would never, not EVER be interested in Peter. But after a couple months of running into each other and getting to know one another, Ashley fell hard for the loud city boy. Throughout the following year Peter spent his spare time traveling to Wisconsin to be with Ashley. In Peter's words they "went on many trips, laughed harder, loved longer, and appreciated each other more than anything else."
Last year over Labor Day weekend, 2 years after they met, Peter asked Ashley to marry him. Because Peter works near Chicago, Ashley agreed to move away from her small home town. Peter told me in his e-mail "Our story is not one of fine dining, red roses and champagne toasts; but rather one of beating the odds, conquering the distance, and showing each other a truly different side of the world."
That part. Right there. That's why we wanted to take pictures of Peter and Ashley. That's what we were looking for. Because we believe love isn't built on one big gesture of affection. It's built on the little things. Both people giving a little bit, making sacrifices, and still loving each other even though it's not always roses and champagne.

This one makes my heart so happy!!!

These next two are my favs!!! ahhh!

Ashley & Peter- I had such a blast hanging out with you! I seriously felt like I was with old friends. Thank you for being so laid back and easy to work with. basically, you rock! I can not wait for your big day. I just know it's going to be perfect!
